Where To Start
Some brides know exactly what flowers they want for their wedding day but they are the lucky few!  Your florist is there to help you choose.  Your dress and bridesmaids’ dresses along with your wedding ceremony and reception venue provide a good starting point.  Have this information to hand when you meet your florist for the first time.
Some couples choose a theme for their wedding.  This can be anything from their favourite colour to an extravagant tropical paradise. Your florist will be able to advise you but if in doubt, keep it simple.
The Bride’s Bouquet
Most brides start by choosing their bouquet.  After all, it’s your day!  Not sure about what type to have? Take a look at our page dedicated to bridal bouquets.

Getting What You Want
Wedding flowers are very personal and often couples choose their florist based on whom they feel they can work with.  Prices of flowers vary throughout the year, but choosing flowers that are in season will be more cost effective.  Your florist can tell you what is in season for your wedding.  Designs that are foliage based tend to be cheaper than designs that are flower-rich, but they have a very different look.  Be clear about what you want.
How Much Should You Budget
Budgets vary enormously and the cost of your wedding flowers will depend on many things such as your choice of flowers and number of table arrangements.  If you have a budget in mind then let your florist know so that they can create a design to fit.  Take a look at our pricing page for more information.
When To Contact Your Florist
Once you have set a date, chosen your venue and have an idea of what you will be wearing you will be ready to start thinking about your flowers. You can expect your florist to visit you at your venue or home for a free initial consultation.  The florist should bring a portfolio with a wide selection of ideas for you to choose from and it is a good idea for you to bring any pictures or ideas along if you have something specific in mind.
